Armadillo in Makanda Bowl

My running friend found a dead armadillo on a back road in Makanda and sent me a photo. I felt compelled to commemorate the critter whose range is slowly expanding northwards. This whimsical bowl measures about 5 7/8″ x 3″.

Bright Red Orange Lotus Flower Wall Hanging for Jen

This bright lotus flower wall hanging was finished as a special order for Jen. It allowed me to put the lotus flower on a flatter surface and gives me another vessel shape to work with. It’s in St. Louis at a good home.

Here’s a very biological, whimsical and colorful wall hanging–Cellular Action. One of the first pieces I started breaking the plane of the clay with holes. This pieces measures 12″ x 10.75″
School of Atomic Fish

Something a little new for me–the Mid-Century of Last Century Atomic Fish as wall ornaments. First created as Christmas ornaments, it’s the type of fun art I make that can look great all year round.
Sunflower Bowl with two handle holes

I started experimenting breaking the plane of the clay by placing holes in various places on the bowl. In this instance, the holes make great handles, especially for people who have a hard time grasping.
